Medium skin tones can pull off a wide range of shades. Here are some shades that look extra good on people with medium skin tones.
Modeling these reds for the blog is my friend Mariel Bitanga. Thanks Mariel!
1. MAC - Ruby Woo
A true red with a blue undertone. Its very matte and pretty difficult to apply, but it stays on all night. I recommend using a lip brush for a little more control, as this lipstick tends to tug and drag along your lips so it can get a little patchy if not applied with a brush.

2. MAC - Lady Danger
I'm sure to those who read my past red lip posts, you may have noticed that I recommended this lip shade to fair skin and morenas/ deeper skin tones. Well, I LOVE this shade. It's orange undertone is instantly brightening on most if not all skin tones. It applies like a charm and it looks great from day to night.

3. Mac - Diva
This shade is a deep burgundy. Very vampy, and perfect for night outs and even on a normal day out with minimal makeup for added drama!

4. Sleek - Vino Tinto
Another burgundy, wine shade that is a little deeper than diva. It is a liquid matte lipstick thats a little tricky to apply. Check out my tutorial on how to apply liquid lipsticks if you need some tips.

5. Kylie Lip Kit - Mary Jo
Another true red thats a little more cool toned than ruby woo. This liquid lipstick comes with a matching lipliner, that helps with evening out your lip shape as well as over lining the lips for those who want a plumper pout.

Ciari's Quick Tip:
When lining your lips, don't just line the edges of your lip. This will cause uneven fading, at the end of the day your lipstick might wear off, but you will be left with an unsightly outline of lipliner. Apply liner all over your lip instead!

And this ends my Red Lip series for different skin tones! I really hope this helps you find your perfect red lipstick!
Thank you!
