Loving Nudes...

One of the most asked questions I get from my clients is, "What eyeshadow palette do you recommend that I can use everyday?" I'm always careful with products I recommend and make sure that they hit a certain criteria. First, shade/color. I make sure to choose a palette that would look good with almost anyone and anything. I want it to suit their skin color, lipstick, down to whatever they choose to wear. Second, quality. I make sure that I choose a palette that will be easy to use- more importantly easy to blend. Lastly, I recommend things readily available and well-priced. The market for nude palettes have been a bit oversaturated. Almost all the palettes in the market hit the first criteria, the shades are great! But the second criteria is harder to hit and being in Manila makes the third criteria a bit difficult as well.
Loreal La Palette Nude has a beautiful combination of eyeshadows that suit everyone. It is available locally and priced fairly. Hitting both the first and third criteria, but does it hit the second?

Model: Nucci Luna

La Palette Nude comes in Rose and Beige with 10 eyeshadows each. It also comes with a dual ended sponge/brush applicator that is decent and very usable. Loreal did a pretty good job with the packaging. Simple, black and elegant - a great representation of the eye shadows inside.
La Palette Nude - Beige

What's GOOD?
- Good combination of matte and shimmery shades.
- The shimmery shades are nice! Pigmented, minimal fallouts with very fine shimmer. (No ugly, chunky glitter)
- As good as the shimmers are, the matte shades, to me, are the real stars of this palette. As a makeup artist, I've been exposed to many, many matte shadows. Whether it be drugstore or high end, most matte shades would look chalky and patchy when applied. These mattes applied like a dream - soft, pigmented and even. Surprising for a palette from its price range.
What's BAD?
- I can't really say anything bad about this palette. The shades and the quality of the eyeshadows are great. If you don't have a nude palette yet you should definitely go out and get one. That being said, I really hope that these makeup brands up their game soon. All these nude palettes, although beautiful and flattering on most if not all skin tones, have been done multiple times by almost every brand and I think people are ready for something more exciting.
La Palette Nude - Rose

What's GOOD?
- I LOVE the shades of this palette. The shades are different but still very wearable and flattering on most eye colors. Get ready for your brown eyes to look more vibrant with these on your lids!
- The shadows have a pink undertone to them that can make a very feminine and romantic eye look.
- Like its beige counterpart, the shadows are pigmented and apply beautifully. The shadows are very easy to use and the shades go well together that you will have the easiest time making makeup looks from day to night.
What's BAD?
- Nothing!
Ciari's Quick Tip:
In a pinch? You can also use the matte brown shadows on the beige palette to fill in your brows!
